The Best Western Plus Longbranch Hotel & Convention Center began as a Wild West-themed restaurant in the 1960s and featured a number of family recipes. It hasn’t just been the restaurant that’s expanded (and become an award-winning Cedar Rapids hotel). The menu has also grown and evolved, but still pays tribute to the classic American dishes that made the Longbranch Restaurant famous. The original owners, the De Long family, are still active in the daily hotel operations as well as shaping the impressive menu.

The Longbranch Restaurant is the site of the original family-owned western-themed restaurant opened in 1968. Ten years later, the Best Western Plus Longbranch Hotel & Convention Center was constructed. The restaurant still has the Gun-smoke (60’s TV show) inspired theme from the mid-century but with some incredible upgrades.
Grand Sunday Brunch Buffet includes carved baron of beef, scratch-made hash browns, Iowa bone-in ham, baked chicken, and much more.
Our Daily Lunch Buffet is featured Monday-Friday from 11 am – 2 pm. We feature a different buffet every day, call for today’s Chef’s choices. The buffet typically includes fresh-baked bread, casserole dishes, and choice cuts of meat. We also include dessert!
Dinner in The Longbranch include entrees like our famous bbq pork ribs, steaks, and seafood that include salad and choice of potato. They also serve pizza, sandwiches, soups and other lighter fare.
We feature a Big Screen TV and multiple LCD HDTV Flat screens so you can catch every sporting event, even if it’s on Cable! Food is served in the lounge, off the menu, including all your favorite snacks and sandwiches. Our TouchTunes CD Jukebox with a Bose sound system has all your favorite songs so you can “dance the night away” on our large dance floor while enjoying the light show.
